Postdoc in Data Science and Statistical Modelling at University of Copenhagen (deadline 8th of November 2020)

We are currently seeking a post-doctoral research assistant in data science and statistical modelling at the University of Copenhagen (Frederiksberg campus).  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong quantitative skills to join a group of “data nerds” working on the frontline of human and animal health, and with privileged access to data sources including those relevant to the COVID-19 outbreak in Denmark.  Our working environment includes people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and we are specifically looking to expand the skillset and experience of the section, so please consider applying even if you have never worked on medical applications before! The most important things we are looking for are quantitive skills and a desire to understand data.

The deadline for applications is 8th November 2020.

More details are available from: https://jobportal.ku.dk/videnskabelige-stillinger/?show=152880

Informal queries relating to the application are very welcome by email:  md@sund.ku.dk

3rd AACTING Conference

 Dear colleagues,

Due to the current situation, we sadly have to announce that our 3rd AACTING Conference has to be postponed to a currently unknown date in 2021. Our University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover decided that events could not take place with the distance rules issued until the end of the year 2020. However, we hope that we can welcome you in our beautiful city of Hannover in 2021 for the conference and a cold drink on a warm summer evening during the Herrenhäuser Garden Festival or in winter with a cup of mulled wine at the Christmas market.

Moreover, we are pleased to offer you a Christmas online presentation lasting two hours with two of our excellent keynote speakers.

For the talk on 3 December 2020, you can register by email: WHO@tiho-hannover.de

In October, we will send out a link for participation in MS Teams.

Further information about the talk are attached.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Anne Schnepf

Veterinarian
